HAZOP - Participant Course
An online self-paced learning path aimed at process safety applications of Hazard and Operability Studies - HAZOP
A HAZOP is a complex meeting reliant on the experience of the team for success. The process itself provides the framework for a structured and detailed study of the items under review, but cannot automatically deliver an assessment of the associated risks.
In this course, aimed at the HAZOP participant, you will learn about the technique from start to finish. The course covers study planning, expected participants and introduces how HAZOP is approached differently for continuous and batch processes,
Using example piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), the course takes you through how the technique is applied in a real-world example. The course author provides direct individual feedback on exercises that are set at key points in the learning exercise.
At the end of the course you should be ready to participate effectively in a HAZOP as a valued team member.
