“The LoPA course is extensive enough to replace a full day's training on the subject, which is ideal if teams are inexperienced with the technique. - Martin.H - C.Eng - UK ”
IMPROVE YOUR TEAM'S COMPETENCE
Ideal for high hazard sites, suppliers and engineering teams needing to get up to speed with how to apply the LOPA technique in practice.
About this course
Processes should be designed as far as possible to be inherently safe. Inherent safety means removing or reducing hazardous inventory, or ensuring that the process design is so robust that the likelihood of a hazardous event is extremely low when compared to other risks.
Using example piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), the course takes you through how the technique is applied in a real-world example. The course authors provide direct individual feedback on exercises that are set at key points in the learning exercises.
At the end of the course you should be ready to participate effectively in a LoPA study as a valued team member.
